I have a goldfish in a pan by itself and its scales come from. I know your problem. a disease, but do not know what type. its white and fins are white and the other is orange.it also has an orange head. this disease is what I can do to help and I have no goldfish tank or filter to keep it in. It must be at least a ten gallon tank for now and a decent filter, such as goldfish produce large quantities of ammonia. It probably has a fungus, the witch can be treated with Melafix.
Long term, is likely to require at least a 30 gallon tank, but to keep alive just bought a ten gallon cheaper. Only high quality forage goldfish food and change the water once a week and live a long happy life.
