Is there any chance that the moon can crash into the Earth when the US causes an explosion on it?
I have recently heard that in 2008, the USA will send a spacecraft to explode on the south pole of the moon.
Is there any chance that it will come crashing into the Earth? Serious answers only, please.
No, that is not even possible.
Even if an explosion big enough to do the job were set off on the Moon, if it were set off at the Moon’s south pole it would push the Moon away from the Earth, not toward it.
And nobody on Earth, not the US government, not anybody, has the ability to make an explosion that big anyway.
