What should I buy first for my drum set, a Ride cymbal or a second mounted to
m?
Right now I have a four piece drum set ( Snare drum, base drum, 1 mounted tom, 1 floor tom), high hat cymbals and a crash cymbal. What do you think I need first, a ride cymbal or another mounted tom? I play rock and metal if that helps….

I would say cymbal first.
Then get another tom later. Having the sound contrasts between the extra cymbal and the ones you have will add more expression to your set than another drum.
